Redeployment
Redeployment within a return-to-work framework involves placing individuals into suitable alternative duties or roles, supported by targeted upskilling. This process may include CV preparation, strategies for injury disclosure, and navigating both open and closed job markets to secure sustainable employment that aligns with the individual's capacity and vocational choice.
SAGE Rehabilitation has developed a series of 'upskilling' modules which enhance an injured worker’s knowledge, confidence, and self-management skills across key return-to-work domains. Completion of these modules empowers individuals and supports personal and informed vocational decision-making.

Vocational Assessment
A Vocational assessment is a comprehensive, planning-focused process used to identify transferable skills, functional capacity, and suitable employment options, which informs rehabilitation and return-to-work strategies. It also acknowledges current local labour market trends.
SAGE Rehabilitation's vocational assessments capture and interpret educational-vocational factors, physical and psychosocial elements, and personal vocational-choice preferences.
Recommendations provided are supported by relevant and latest government agency data.
Vocational Evaluation
Vocational evaluation is a formal, comprehensive, and evidence-based process typically utilised in complex or disputed matters. It draws on multiple sources of objective data to form independent, well-reasoned opinions regarding an individual’s vocational capacity.
The evaluation may include structured interviews, standardised psychometric and aptitude testing, and assessment of foundational skills such as literacy and numeracy. It also incorporates a detailed review of relevant medical documentation and functional capacity information to ensure opinions are consistent with available clinical evidence.
The evaluation considers both current and projected earning capacity within relevant labour markets, having regard to transferable skills, vocational history, and prevailing employment conditions. This process supports the identification of realistic, sustainable vocational options and provides a defensible basis for opinion regarding work capacity and employability.
Experience
SAGE Rehabilitation's primary consultant has gained extensive experience working across various WorkCover schemes in the ACT, NSW, VIC, and TAS. SAGE Rehabilitation has experience working across income protection, the Australian Defence Force Rehabilitation Program, MAIB, the Department of Veterans' Affairs, Comcare and within self-insured environments.
2017 - Master of Rehabilitation Counselling from the Griffith School of Human Services and Social Work, achieving High Distinctions in both Vocational Evaluation and Working with Diverse Populations.
